About Tim Moshier

Early Years

Timothy Moshier grew up in Ohio and was the first-born son of David and Lynne Moshier. Tim also has a brother Jeff Moshier married with two daughters. His parents dedicated their lives to raising him and teaching him the value of hard work and serving others.

Tim followed in his dad’s footsteps by going to church and living his faith! Tim joined the Boy Scouts where he rose to Eagle Scout! This taught him to persevere and never give up!

During this time, he learned the importance of serving his community!

In high school he was on the State Champion Swim Team where Tim learned the importance of good sportsmanship and how knowing how to swim saves lives. This was passed to his children and grandchildren! Each child received swimming lessons as a birthday present to further the importance of swimming especially in SW Florida!

College years

Tim attended and graduated from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan, a conservative free-enterprise college. Here he met and married his wife, Debbie. Tim and Debbie Will celebrate 35 years of marriage in August! They base their success on love and respect for family values!

After College

After graduating from college, Tim started a building restoration company along with a truck detailing company in Cleveland Ohio!

In 1994, Tim started his 27-year career with Ryder System, Inc. in Ohio. In 1997, he transferred to Ryder in Miami until February of 2021 in the transportation and logistics division.

Debbie Moshier sold Ryder lease trucks until 2015 when she opened her own business in Naples Florida!

Tim, while working at Ryder, also volunteered to raise scholarship funds for children of Ryder used truck employees. Scholarship awards were based on financial need as well as service to their community. Academic excellence and recommendations from teachers were also included in the scoring.

Tim was involved in this program for 12 years!

These fund raisers were done through “Rides for Education “and donations exceeding goals year after year!

Tim participated in the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Harley Ride‘s along with the Seminole Indians! They raised millions of dollars for the benefit of hospitalized children and this took place every December! Tim and Debbie did this from 2000 to 2015! Thirty-five thousand bikes participated and continue today.

Tim is Ready!

These actions and ideals as demonstrated by Tim’s actions along with Debbie set an example for their children. This resulted in the children achieving their goals through military service and all are college degreed! Education and service to our country was a family tradition.

Tim wants the same for the next generation! This is why he chose to run for Collier County School Board!

Making a Difference

During Hurricane Irma (which devastated his town of Everglades City, Florida in Collier County) Tim helped with clean up by traveling during the critical first week of the storm to Ft. Lauderdale daily. There Tim procured ice, food, as well as generators! This helped his fellow neighbors and friends until help arrived from the County and State. In 2018, he helped kick off a fundraiser to restore and build a new playground raising enough to accomplish the restoring of the town’s playground.

In 2019, Tim joined The Lions Club to help children in need and the community in general. Tim also has rescued 5 chihuahuas including a disabled dog who lived to be 16.

Tim is currently serving his community on the Ochopee Fire Board and the Town Compliance Board.
Tim attends all Everglades City Council meetings and special meetings for the last 4 years as his civic duty to the community he loves.

Tim’s platform is to help develop a school system that teaches all children that achieving their goals will be backed by the Collier County School Board.

He pledges to work for the children and their parents or guardians to give them the education they deserve and make that his # 1 priority.
